Thank you very much for your response DUSA and DLA, I personally love both DUSA and DLA,, they are wonderful and can make a difference in our community. I am among the founding fathers of both student associations.
The Duk United Student Association formed in 1997 and Duk Learners Association formed in 2003.
Should this discuss developmental issues yes.
Do I want people to be too personal No, How are you going to control it?, well anything that is going to be too personal will not be edited. If the post is too personal and it is reported, it will not be edited.
Yes I am a spiritual leader, but that title does not stop me from our community developmental issues. Am I going to be neutral in discussion, No! I will try to very honest in discussing developmental issues with DLA and DUSA.
Being a spiritual leader does not mean being neutral. It mean knowing the different between good and evil. I have chosen Jesus and not the devil.
I will be just and fair to honest people like you Mr. Deng Maker.
If people give DLA and DUSA different connotation, let us to make it better for people to give it a tractive look. tell us good things that DUSA have done and the good thing that you have seen DLA doing. Focus on the positive what has been done and what need to be done.
So far members of both DLA and DUSA are working hand in hand to built a community center back home. What is DLA and DUSA in Kenya doing? Both DLA and DUSA members spend thanksgiving together in North Carolina. They pray together and have done many good things together.
About the past of Dunknews and Onewithus. People learn from their past. mind you the best thing that a devil can do is to make good people quiet and do nothing about their past and present.
You are a pencil in God’s hand keep on doing good work that God have prepare for you in advance.

you guys in the US are wonderful as you always have the moral will to make good of Duk-padiet. some would think creating a web page and maintaining it is just what any one could do! it needs a lot of devotion because of the time it consumes and the resources to make it a success.
i hope i am also welcomed in this page to give my opinion on the issue of discussing DUSA and DLA issues here.
Paul, there is nothing difficult as trying to introduce new ways of thinking and living a different lifestly among the people who do not understand the co-existence of different cultures and ideologise. and this precisely is the case in question between the small differences between the two factions.
many of us do not understand collective responsibility when it come to development and that is why one group would feel threatened by another.Honestly Paul i would not support the idea of us discussing our matters here, may be i can cite some few reasons:
1. DUSA and DLA are student organisations and associations respectively with different missions, goals and objective. comparing what we are doing in the camp, nairobi, america or any other place they could be in existence would further worsen the relationship. i would only accept if the discussion could be between you the founders of DLA and those of DUSA and particularly the one supporting it even today like myself and the rest. inviting everybody else will not bring constructive discussion.2. DUSA and DLA are pet projects of Padiet only. this woud rule out us comparing how much each of us might have done because as a regular visitor of this site, i have read many notes from people outside the boundary of Padiet, and remeber the saying ‘ka ke bai ci lerke jieng’.
3.if posting on this sites are edited, i would also have doubt like david who queried the credibilty of fairness in editing these pieces because to me you are a founding and still a current leader if not a director of DLA. i know you are honest when you say you will be fair but becasue of human mentality it will take months if not years to digest the logic in it.
4.i have loved this web to be my consolation when i have spiritual needs which i always do, i am afraid discussiong our differences here would reverse the role of course if those who have the penchant of talking bad about others are kept away then they will not feel included in developing our home as every man’s decision seem the best to him oblivious of how others percieve it and that is why we should always forgive one another incase one feels pinched somewhere.
with these few remarks i beg to rest my case.

The best way to put it would be to call me as co-founder of both DUSA and DLA not the director.
As far as your spiritual norishment is concern through website, I want to assure you that the best way to know the man of God and learn from him is through his informal conversation with friends and the way he live his Christian life. Jesus said if you are my disciple you will know the truth and the truth shall set you free. in thesame way if we are God\\\’s disciple, we will know the truth and the truth shall set all of us free.

The best thing a devil can do is to make us quiet.

Once again I relay my greetings and gratitude. It has taken me sometime to get back to you and this cannot be taken to means anything, but just being blamed to a busy schedule. I am currently doing my last exams at the college.I was not certain how you were going to answer the questions I posed to you. But good enough your impartiality can at least be seen.
DUSA-DLA issues are very crucial and need to be kept to ourslves as Duk-Padiet community. As Elijah puts it; it will be like us washing our dirty linens in the public, since Paulandfriends.org is accessible to all and sundry from across all divide.
Please, reconsider this and have a change of heart on this matter. let find another forum to discuss them and not here.
I know my comments will always be constructive and the assumption doesn’t hold for others.

I would like to add my comment in additional to what you have just posted.I may not go to the detial of what you trying to say in Dinka language,but I can remember you saying Dinka that ,Na dal ran ke xen dal ngeny ran ke xen ben ngeny.Which sound to me you are either both side.But to me am realistic I want action instead of talking.Galuak chop has wrote his comment and you wrote yours too.In that case, since two of you knew each other why you did not call one another on phone that could be better instead posting some addicted behaviors to public.The public already knew Galuak his Mentallity.Or you can block such kind of people to use you system,the same thing to Ayuel Mun too.Thank you,this is Garang de Tiomdit at AKUAK CINDEYIC AND YIN EE YA TE DU. -

I am once again back on this site just in for a reminder. I am concern about your suggestion of discussing issues that touch on DUSA or DLA.
These Associations have done something much to the realisation of many. It is the money that was collectively sent from the States by all members of Duk-Padiet community that have thrown DLA into the lime light as an outfit that is comparable to DUSA. That is in relation to your asking me about what I have seen DLA doing.The essence of this mail is to tell you that, in trying to say anything about these Associations, please, I have noticed in the previous commnets, do not try to make people who access this site believe that people of Duk-padiet are divided along DUSA-DLA lines.
There is nothing like DLA or DUSA members. If you continue preaching this, I am afraid, it will not take us anywhere and besides, the outsiders will not have a good understanding of us given this possible scenario.
If you continue to divide the community into DLA and DUSA when those whom you said are DLA are just but very few , what impression are you creating? That politics will not do us any good for your information. I know you want to popularise your site and DLA through the proposed discussion and believe you me, it will not do both the site and the asssociation any good at all.
I am not being partisan here , but I am trying to prevent something from hapening. You have not even set a good example in this regard. You mobilise us to Join DUSA, being a community initiative to chart its way forward educationwise and in development issues, and quickly abandoned us before we accomplish what was DUSA set objectives.
To me, I am sorry, you have not behaved as a leader and have not shown any exemplary move to be ape by anyone.
Please, try to extricate yourself from this mess before you try to steer the community into a different direction. I seem to be bitter because if everyone in the community changes into that colour, and appears to be working astride, one can end up being like the proverbial ‘Chol Muong”.
That is not the direction I want us to follow.Thank you so Much. Please response. You will discover that I am not holding any grudge at all, but is not happy with what has happened in the past and what seems to be repeating itself now.

Before I say yes or no as to whether there is need for DUSA or DLA issues to be discuss in this forum,I have some queries for you.
Paul you know very well that any forum in which issues touching DUSA-DLA are discussed, the discussion is not always constructive. cite examples: Duknews, onewithus etc..
I have no problem with the discussion per se, but the fact that some people become too personal in the process and deviate out of the course of discussion.
Having say that and given your past knowledge, these issues about DUSA and DLA are always given different connotation- don\’t you think Paulandfriends.org is not a good place to discuss them.
I know you well inasfar as DUSA is concerned as DLA as well. Besides, you have a new title in the the spiritual realm, How sure are you that you are going to be neutral, in case people subscribed to your suggestion?
Do you believe in DukPadiet\’s sons and daughters coming to together to do one thing to make DukPadiet a better place to live in?
To me, I think Paulandfriends.org will not be a good forum for this discussion, if at all there is need for such discussion.
