Hi everyone, we want to let you know that Paul and Friends from Granny White Church of Christ will be going to Kentucky on Sunday morning to fellowship with Bob Palmer and the Church he minister to in Kentucky “God’s voice thunders in marvelous ways; he does great things beyond our understanding. He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth,’ and to the rain shower, ‘Be a mighty downpour.”- Job 37:5-6  Pray that God will lead Paul and friends safely and back safely.

Lipscomb’s Third Annual Spring Break Mission Trip
to St. Martin/ Sint Maarten

Island info
Located in the Caribbean sea, St. Martin/ Sint Maarten (3.5 hour plane ride from Charlotte) is the smallest dual-nationality island in the world, measuring about 35 square miles.  The northern part of this island is an overseas department of France, while the southern half is an overseas department of the Netherlands.  On the French side, French is spoken, on the Dutch side, English is spoken.
There are three churches of Christ on the island- one in Marigot (French side), one in Cole Bay (Dutch side), and one in Phillipsburg (Dutch Side).

Quick Facts
Dates: March 17th- 25th 2007
Team size: 15 members
Trip cost: $1250
Trip Leaders: Brad Ham, Elizabeth Kittrell, Doug Williams

Trip objective:
To show Christ’s love to the people of St. Martin/ Sint Maarten through:

  • A Vacation Bible School Sunday through Friday evenings
  • Work projects at all three churches on the island
  • Service project with Sint Maarten’s Pride Foundation
  • Visiting the residents of Sint Maarten’s “Old Folks Home”
  • A “Youth Day” at the church on the French side
  • Spending time visiting with and encouraging the Christians on the island

We will be teaming up with a group from the Frederick church of Christ in Frederick, Maryland.  This will be the third year for the two teams to work together.  The two leaders for the Frederick group are Bren White and Jim Denison, both who have extensive missions experience.
Please prayerfully consider being a part of this mission effort!
